New NOVA Project

Hey Sparks!

I wanted to bring your attention to a new NOVA related project that I just launched on Kickstarter: LUNA.

LUNA is set in the setting of NOVA, but instead of playing as the Sparks, you take on the role of a group of lunar cultists infiltrating one of the last cities and corrupting its sunshard heart. 

The game is design for short 3-5 session campaigns, or even as an exciting oneshot.

Another Shipping Update & Tease

Hey folks,

Today marks an exciting day! I've finished packing the last NOVA pledge. I still have a batch that need to be dropped off at the post office, but we've reached the point where everyone's book has been packed up. I've already been seeing pictures of folks sharing their books online, and it makes my day every single time you do, so keep it up!

So let's talk next steps for everyone who doesn't have their book yet. Most of you have received a tracking number for your order. As I've said in previous updates, that number is your golden ticket as to where you package is.

IMPORTANT: If you haven't received a tracking number, there are two possible explanations. 

1. For some folks who did add-ons with their order, I had to get the labels separately from the batch orders I was doing otherwise. That doesn't mean your book isn't coming, it just means the tracking number wasn't automatically emailed to you! If that's the case, just email me at [email protected] and I'll make sure to confirm your package is shipped and send that tracking number.

2. Your card was declined, you didn't fill out the survey, you never submitted your address, etc. I'm still waiting on a few folks to finish surveys, get that shipping paid for, and let me know where to ship your book. Check on Backerkit if that is your situation! Once that's taken care of, I'll make sure to pack your book and send it your way with a tracking number.

This whole process of fulfillment has been A LOT, and I appreciate everyone's patience. I'm a one-person crew here, so you can imagine packing and organizing hundreds of books is a bit stressful and hectic. All the more reason to share those pics of your books when they arrive, so I can share in your excitement!

I've got one more last big trip to the post office, and then I'm done shipping NOVA.

Hardcovers Incoming!

Hey Sparks,

Quick update here, but I wanted to let you know that I got the shipping notification for the hardcover books, and they are estimated to arrive at my place Thursday, AKA TOMORROW! Once they get here, I'll make sure everything looks good, and start packing up orders to ship out to you all.

Speaking of shipping, all of the paperback tier orders have been shipped, and over half of them have already found their way to you all. If yours hasn't arrived yet, just keep an eye on that tracking number.

NOTE: As a reminder, the tracking number that is emailed to you is the must up-to-date information about where your package is at. If you have any questions, or did not receive your tracking number (paperbacks only right now), please email me at [email protected]. 

We're getting close to having NOVA shipped out fully, and I'm so excited. Last couple things, NOVA Jam started up a couple days ago and runs through the end of January. There are already 3 submissions, and lots more to come.

And if you haven't left NOVA a 5 star rating on itch.io yet, I would really appreciate you taking the time to do so!

Shipping Update & NOVA Jam

Hey Sparks,

Shipping Has Begun!!

Backers at the paperback tier will be receiving tracking information for their order very soon (some have already gotten it!). The hardcover copies are still in production, and so all hardcover backers, or anyone who included a hardcover add-on with their order, will need to wait a little bit longer for their package to ship out.

Tomorrow I'll be dropping off all of the paperback orders at the post office, and then they will be on their way to you!

NOTE: The tracking information that has been sent to you is the most up-to-date information.  Please keep in mind that the postal system is already slowed a bit, and will only get worse as things get closer to the holiday season. I ask that you be patient with me and the process, and know that the tracking number is your golden ticket for updates with your order. If you have specific questions or issues with your order, please email me at [email protected]. That will be the only place I'll be dealing with order correspondence moving forward.

As soon as I have word that the hardcovers are on their way to me, I'll be sure to let you all know!

NOVA Jam

I love running game jams for my RPGs as they release. I've had a lot of fun with Slayers Jam and LUMEN Jam in the past, so of course we're going to do NOVA Jam!

The jam starts in one week, and is open until the end of January. Folks are encouraged to create anything they'd like for the game. New Sparks, enemies, tools and resources, you name it. I know I'll be submitting my faction turn rules whenever I get around to finishing them! I hope you'll consider joining, or at the very least keeping an eye on the jam to see all kinds of new NOVA goodies you can include in your game.

That's everything for now. Like I said, the next update you'll get from me is letting you know the hardcover books are on their way. I can't wait to see you all holding NOVA in your hands. When you do get your copy, let me know on Twitter or Discord!
